Futex Labs CB Scara Titan

Scara Elite Roadrunner

The Scara Elite v2 Printer combined with our Roadrunner track adds another axis of control, allowing you to create even larger structures, such as full-size walls. Include a pump and you are ready to start printing. The Scara Elite is designed to work with a pumping system, such as our Small 50 Pump.

Purchase Information
To purchase the Scara Elite Roadrunner, please contact us. We accept cash, check, or wire transfer. Credit card payments will incur a 3% fee.
Print Status
Once a print is started, the interface shows information about the model being printed, including layer times, estimated time remaining, and file information. It also allows for real-time adjustment of print and extrusion speed.
G-Code Files
The G-Code Files page allows g-code files for printing to be uploaded, edited, or downloaded. It provides a summary of the file, including size, layer height, and the software used to generate the file.
Software Requirements
None! The only requirement is a web browser interface.
Object Generation
The Scara Elite is similar to the rest of the 3D Potter line ceramic printers. It requires an STL file to be sliced by a third-party program, such as Simplify3D or Cura. The file can then be loaded onto the printer's SD card via WiFi.
Speeds
The Scara Elite is capable of extreme speeds, though for ceramic 3D printing, it is recommended not to exceed 130 mm/s. Speed is influenced by factors like nozzle size, layer height, and achieving good adhesion on interlayers of the clay.
Construction and Design
The Scara Elite v2 features heavy aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum construction, utilizing CNC and welded components for maximum strength and rigidity. The main rail components are from IGUS, a leading German manufacturer of precision guide rails. The drive motors are sophisticated hybrid closed-loop stepper motors with onboard computers for zero error positioning.
Drive Mechanisms
This printer features heavy-duty harmonic drive units, similar to those used in large industrial robots. These drives offer precision movement down to fractions of a degree, ensuring very precise prints with no backlash or jittery movements at realistic speeds.
Space Needed for Setup
The Scara Elite can be mounted on a substantial tabletop or given its own dedicated space. It requires direct mounting for maximum stability, achieved with multiple screws. A minimum of 1.5" thick heavy plywood or wood construction is recommended for tabletops.
User Interface (WiFi)
Duet Web Control is a fully developed UI for the Scara, accessible through a web browser on any WiFi-capable device. It provides full control over the printer without the need for additional apps or software installations. Non-WiFi versions are available; please contact us for Ethernet connection options.
Industrial Size Print Area
Combined with our Roadrunner rail system, the Scara Elite provides an industrial-size print area, allowing you to print full structures and walls. This machine offers limitless creative possibilities.
